Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Expands Member Tools, Launching Blue Works for You
Tools provide access to doctor reviews, cost comparisons and more
Healthcare does not just happen in the doctor’s office. It takes place with every decision individuals make to be their healthiest. So that members can make better-informed health and related financial choices, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) is launching an enhanced suite of tools through its campaign, Blue Works for You.
At a time when consumers are looking to do more research before selecting a provider or agreeing to a treatment, Blue Works for You steps in to guide individuals and families. The online member tools include features such as doctor reviews, cost comparisons, treatment timeline estimators and prescription cost information.
After using the tools, members will have an idea of what to expect before a surgery or doctor’s visit. They will have a more accurate estimate of how much it will cost and the amount of time it will take to recover from a procedure. This allows members to plan and make the necessary time-off arrangements. The outcome is a better healthcare experience.
“People are looking for tools that will help them weigh their options and eliminate surprises. Families should know what a treatment costs and if there are alternatives to consider,” said Jennifer Kaufman, vice president of BCBSAZ. “Blue Works for You gives our members insight they haven’t had before. Having easy access to this information will help make people healthier and more secure in their decisions.”
Blue Works for You tools are now available to all BCBSAZ members at go.AZBlue.com/works.
