Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Offers Assistance to its Members in the Slide Fire Area
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) is offering assistance to its members who have been affected by the Slide Fire in northern Arizona.
As part of its emergency response plan, BCBSAZ is making exceptions to immediately allow for early refills on prescription medications, through the end of June, for insured members who have been affected by the fire.
“We always have our members’ best interests in mind, in this case we want to alleviate the concern of worry about their prescription medications,” said Rich Boals, president and CEO. “Most importantly, our thoughts are with those battling this fire and those impacted by the devastation.”
Members who need help with their prescription medication refills during this emergency are encouraged to call the pharmacy benefits number on the back of their I.D. card, if available, or call 866-325-1794.
