Failed Health Insurance Co-ops Point to More ACA challenges
As of July, 2016 the Washington Free Beacon reported only a third of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) co-ops were still in operation. Failing co-ops are an example of the financial challenges the ACA has placed on the health insurance market. While the remaining co-ops continue to lose money, it’s estimated more will close in the year ahead, leaving people with fewer options.
