Obamacare Not Resonating With Millennials
When the Affordable Care Act (ACA) passed, we knew that the first individuals to enroll would be those who needed the most care. We also knew in order for the ACA to work, younger and healthier people would need to enroll to balance out the costs. However, despite the need for insurance, penalties or mandates, younger and healthier individuals, such as Millennials, haven’t been enrolling as expected. This trend, as highlighted here, started from the first open enrollment and continues to be the case today, which has resulted in financial losses for healthcare insurance companies.
