The BCBSAZ Member Survey: How You Help Us Help You

Have you ever answered your phone or opened your email and thought “oh great, another survey!”? If you receive a survey from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ), it would mean the world to us – and you – if you took a few minutes to provide your feedback. We use your feedback to improve your overall experience with us.

We use a vendor to collect survey results to ensure the information is completely confidential. Once we receive the results we identify things we can do or changes we can make to better meet your needs.

So what changes have we made based on past survey results? One example is our online-cost estimator tool. Looking at survey results, it is clear that our members want to know more about the cost of medical treatments – before they have a treatment.

Our cost estimator tool allows you to look up a wide range of healthcare services. The tool provides estimates of how much you will pay out-of-pocket, based on your benefit plan. It even provides alternatives to treatment so you can have an informed discussion with your provider about your options. To check out the tool, simply log on to your member portal on azblue.com and click on Get Estimates for Healthcare Costs (it’s under the Healthcare Costs category).
